GhostGhost Chatter Virtual Items Policy
This Virtual Items Policy is issued by Ghost Chatter LLC and applies if you use Ghost Chatter on iOS or Android in any region where the App is available and you purchase or use virtual items (including Ghost Tokens, Gifts, highlighted chat, viewer flashlight control, creator memberships, or creator reward indicators). Availability of specific packs or prices can still depend on your App Store or Google Play region and our product settings.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to purchase virtual items, including Ghost Tokens.
This policy governs your access to and use of virtual items in Ghost Chatter, including Ghost Tokens, Gifts, and creator rewards/balance features. It works together with our Terms of Use, community and safety rules, and Creator Payout Policy.
If there is a conflict:
- this Virtual Items Policy controls virtual-item issues;
- the Creator Payout Policy controls creator payout mechanics;
- the Terms of Use controls general platform use.
Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning in our Terms of Use.
1. What are Virtual Items?
Virtual Items are digital licenses made available for use inside Ghost Chatter only, including:
- Ghost Tokens (viewer purchase item),
- Gifts (used during live streams and, where available, on replays),
- highlighted chat messages and replay comments, viewer flashlight actions, and creator memberships paid with Ghost Tokens,
- creator reward tracking and related in-app indicators.
Virtual Items are not money, not bank deposits, not property you own, and are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
Virtual Items may only be obtained from Ghost Chatter through approved in-app purchase channels on iOS or Android. You may not buy, sell, transfer, trade, or exchange Virtual Items outside Ghost Chatter.
2. Ghost Tokens
2.1 What Tokens are
Ghost Tokens are virtual items that can be used to activate Gifts, highlighted chat, viewer flashlight control, creator memberships, and other eligible in-app interactions. Token purchases are optional.
2.2 Where you can buy Tokens
Ghost Tokens are sold in-app only:
- iOS: Apple App Store in-app purchase,
- Android: Google Play in-app purchase.
We do not currently support web purchases.
2.3 Pricing and taxes
Token pack pricing, pack sizes, and availability may change at any time.
Displayed prices are controlled by the app store and may include taxes where required by law. Your payment provider may apply additional fees (for example, currency conversion or bank fees).
2.4 No refunds
Ghost Tokens are non-refundable. Ghost Chatter does not refund Ghost Tokens, including unused Tokens, and does not exchange them for cash.
Token purchases are processed by the app store where the purchase was made. Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) operate their own refund processes under their own policies; any request for a store refund must be made to them. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable law that cannot be waived.
2.5 Account deletion
If you delete your Ghost Chatter account, any Ghost Tokens left in your wallet are forfeited and cannot be restored or refunded.
3. Gifts
Gifts are virtual items activated using Ghost Tokens during eligible live experiences.
Gifts are an expression feature inside Ghost Chatter. Sending a Gift does not transfer cash directly from one user to another.
Because Gifts are consumed when used, Gift activations are final and not refundable.
3A. Highlighted chat, flashlight, and memberships
- Highlighted chat: a paid feature that lets you spend Ghost Tokens to highlight a chat message in a live stream or a comment on a replay. Highlighted messages are final and non-refundable once sent, including if they are removed for violating our Terms.
- Viewer flashlight control: where a host enables it, you can spend Ghost Tokens to toggle the host’s flashlight during a live, subject to cooldowns. Flashlight actions are final and non-refundable, and do not earn the creator rewards.
- Creator memberships: monthly or yearly memberships paid in Ghost Tokens. They renew automatically using Tokens in your wallet until you cancel; if you don’t have enough Tokens, the membership lapses. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the paid period. Membership payments are non-refundable, including for the current period if you cancel, if you delete your account, or if the creator deletes their account.
If the host of a live has restricted you in that live, you can keep watching but cannot send Gifts, highlighted chat, or flashlight actions in it.
4. Creator rewards, balance, and payouts
Creators may become eligible for rewards based on Gift, highlighted chat, and membership activity and eligibility rules. Creator shares (including that flashlight actions carry no creator share) are described in the Creator Payout Policy.
Gift activity does not guarantee payout. Eligibility may depend on account standing, identity and payout verification, and compliance with Terms, community/safety standards, and monetization requirements.
Creator payouts and receiving gift-related rewards generally require Stripe to verify an eligible country of residence. As of the date above, supported regions for that program are described in the Creator Payout Policy and currently include the United States, Canada, United Kingdom (Stripe code GB), and Australia, subject to change as we add regions.

5. Your rights and limits
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Virtual Items only inside Ghost Chatter and only as permitted by this policy and our Terms.
You do not receive ownership rights in Virtual Items.
You may not:
- sell, transfer, trade, or gift Virtual Items outside approved in-app features,
- use fraud, bots, exploits, fake engagement, or abusive behavior to obtain or use Virtual Items,
- evade enforcement actions through alternate accounts.
6. Enforcement and violations
If we reasonably believe you violated this policy, our Terms, community/safety rules, or creator monetization requirements, we may take proportionate action, including:
- warning or feature restriction,
- temporary or permanent suspension of Virtual Item access,
- temporary or permanent suspension of live streaming privileges,
- restriction on sending or receiving Gifts,
- freeze, forfeiture, or hold of Tokens and/or pending creator balances tied to suspicious, abusive, or non-compliant activity,
- delay or cancellation of payouts while compliance or fraud review is pending,
- account suspension or termination.
Where appropriate, we may notify you of enforcement decisions. In serious or repeat cases, immediate action may be taken without prior notice.
If your account is suspended, deactivated, or terminated, you may lose access to Virtual Items and pending balances, subject to applicable law.
7. Errors, corrections, and service changes
We may correct errors in Virtual Item balances, pricing, catalog entries, or reward allocations.
We may modify, discontinue, or limit any Virtual Item feature at any time, including for security, legal compliance, or operational reasons.
